Asat of MRH Sunrisers opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Talisunep increased the tally in the 26th minute. Asu then pulled a goal back for MRH FC in the 34th minute to offer some hope of redemption. However, there would be no equalizer as Chuba slotted home in the 57th minute to help the defending champions secure a convincing win.
