Super Six Cricket tourney: quarter final matches set

8 teams entered the quarter finals of the ongoing 1st Super Six Cricket tourney at Ruzukhrie High School Ground, Kohima on March 7. 

In the first match of the Quarter final, Youngsters defeated Clarions by 3 wickets and became the first team to qualify for the semis. Opting to bat first, Clarions put up a total of 50. Putouzo of Clarions was the top scorer for the team who scored 28 followed by Dito scoring 6 runs. Robi and Alom from Youngsters claimed two wickets each. Chasing the target, Arjun and Raju from Youngsters scored 28 and 12 respectively while Amhale from Clarions claimed two wickets.

The second quarter final will be played between Thumbs Up and Kohima Orphanage Destitute Home C.

The third quarter final will be played between Silverbacks and United brothers. The last quarter final will be played between WELPS Cricket Club and Chandmari Super Strickers.

Earlier, in the morning, continuing the first round, NV Press defeated Dynamic Sixers; Kohima Veteran Cricket club defeated The Ripples; Chandmari Boys defeated The Ripples and Chandmari Super Strikers defeated Avo Six.

16 teams qualified in the pre quarter finals. Royal eagles defeated Kohima Veteran Cricket Club; Kohima Orphanage Sestitute Home C defeated Kohima Orphanage Destitute Home A; Youngsters defeated AG Sixers; United Brothers defeated NV Press; Clarions defeated Kohima Orphanage Destitute Home B.

Thumbs Up defeated kNK Cricket Club; WELPS defeated Chandmari Super Strikers; Silverbacks defeated Chandmari Boys.
