Dimapur, Spetember 29 (MExN): The second day of the Above-35 League played at DGP Ground, Chümoukedima, witnessed an exciting goal fest on Saturday. In the first match, Trinity Sporting played against Super Strikers, a press release received here stated. Trinity Sporting took an early lead in the 4th minute through Meyiwapang. However, after conceding, Super Strikers regrouped and equalized in the 22nd minute, courtesy of a solo run by Lipoksashi. Spotting the goalkeeper off his line, Lipoksashi’s shot deflected off a defender and found the back of the net. Just four minutes into the second half, Super Strikers took the lead with a finish from Renbemo, securing a 2-1 victory.
The second match saw Nizams FC demolishing Late Strikers with an emphatic 10-0 win. After a tough loss on match day one, Nizams FC started with high intensity, dominating possession. Despite missing several chances early on, Theinamlong (Nizams FC) opened the scoring in the 9th minute. By the end of the first half, Nizams led 4-0. The second half saw even more dominance from Nizams, as Theinamlong completed his hat trick in the 45th minute and added a fourth goal in the 48th minute. Nizams’ depth was evident, as the remaining four goals were shared: a brace from Dr.Lipoksanen, a powerful header from Deo Longchar, and a solo goal from Peter. Angam’s outstanding performance, contributing six assists and two goals, further highlighted the one-sided affair.
