Supervision of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in active consideration

Mokokchung, May 29 (DIPR): The newly constructed office of the Mokokchung District Planning Machinery Cell was inaugurated today, May 29. Located near DC’s Office it was formally inaugurated by ADC, Temsuwati. With this, Mokokchung district became the fifth district in the state to have its own office building which was constructed within two year.

In his inaugural speech, Temsuwati expressed gratitude to the District administration for awarding the land for the new office and expressed hope that the officers and staff would now work enthusiastically for the welfare of the people. He said the Planning and Co-ordination Department has taken steps to have closer coordination with all departments in implementing major projects and schemes in all the districts. In his address, the DC said setting up a District level committee for supervision and inspection of all major projects particularly the Centrally Sponsored Schemes is under active consideration. He also said that there are about 60 department offices and all the offices are being headed by efficient and qualified officers. The inaugural function was attended by heads of district offices and officials from the Department of Planning & Coordination Department, Kohima. The function was chaired by Assistant Development Commissioner, Mokokchung District Planning Machinery Cell, S. Bendangtoshi Longkumer.

Earlier on May 28, Senior Officers from the Planning & Coordination Department headed by Additional Development Commissioner, Temsuwati visited the ISBT under construction at Yimyu, Mokokchung Health Sub-centre at Kumlong Ward, Mayangnokcha Memorial High School, Imkongliba Memorial Hospital, Fazl Ali College and Mokokchung Market Complex.
