SVEEP (Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation) Framework Agreement between Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Mon and Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB) was signed on December 4 at DC Chamber, Mon. Both the partners have agreed to enter into an agreement in their endeavour to sensitize and make electorate sensitive about their rights to vote, process about exercising of franchise including ethical and inducement free voting.
As per the agreement KBBB will provide SVEEP coverage through their established network of communications and events and the DEO will provide technical guidance and assistance in designing activities and contents for SVEEP.
The KBBB is a reputed civil society organization in Mon, engaged in promotion of ethical, clean and informed elections. Since June 2017 KBBB has been spreading awareness under the “Clean Election Campaign”, with village to village coverage, stressing the citizens to ethical practices and inducement free voting.
The SVEEP Framework Agreement was signed between K Thavaseelan, IAS, DC& DEO on behalf of District Election Office, Mon and Nyamto Wangsha, CEC, Convenor, KBBB on behalf of KBBB, Mon.
