Kiphire, November 4 (MExN): Seyochung Village Government Employees Union Kiphire District (SVGEUKD) conducted a cleanliness drive in the New District Hospital Building Kiphire premises along with the staffs of District Hospital Kiphire on November 3. About 70 members cleaned the hospital 's general surfaces like floors, walls, corridors, stairs, bathrooms and toilets, a press release from President Alipa Sangtam stated. Temporary waste pit were also dug out and weeds in the surrounding were skimmed. The union also thanked the medical team and staffs of District Hospital Kiphire for maintaining the new hospital building and further asked patient attendants to dispose litters and wastes properly. SVGEUKD also urged the general public to continually render help in keeping the hospital and its premises clean and tidy “so that a healthy and aesthetically pleasing environment is created which is not only comforting to the patients but also prevents and reduce adverse human health and environmental impact.”
