Seyochung, October 2 (MExN): The Seyochung Village Students' Union (SVSU) met with officials from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) on September 30 to discuss the upcoming road construction project in Seyochung village.
During the meeting, the BRO Junior Engineers informed that the delay in starting the project was due to recent unfavourable weather conditions, but it is expected to commence within a week or two, weather permitting, according to a press release from the SVSU.
Expressing deep concern over the issue of road conditions in the area, SVSU Vice President Longtili C Sangtam emphasised that the quality of work should not be compromised under any circumstances. He also highlighted the importance of a proper drainage system to ensure the longevity of the road.
The Vice President further assured the BRO that the union stands ready to support the project, and any challenges or disturbances faced by the organisation during construction will be addressed with its full support, the SVSU release stated.
The SVSU reiterated its commitment to the development of the region and pledged cooperation to ensure the successful completion of the road project, which is expected to benefit the entire community, it added.
