Kohima, September 20 (MExN): Marking nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, a mass social work was conducted today at Pfutsero town in Phek district.
It was organised by administration and Pfutsero Town Council (PTC) in the presence of Dr Neisatuo Mero, MLA from 16 Pfutsero Assembly Constituency.
This social work created awareness on the importance of cleanliness, which fosters a healthy society
Later, Dr Mero along with PTC chairman Mikha Kenye and councillors inspected Pfutsero town dumping site and common graveyard and called for its improvement and proper maintenance.
A mass cleanliness drive was also conducted at Medziphema sub-division on September 20 in celebration of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025. Key activities included cleaning waste sites, collecting and segregating waste, cleaning office premises and town areas, clearing debris, and disposing of waste.
The cleanliness drive was carried out successfully with active participation from Medziphema Town Council (MTC), government departments, and the general public.
