Wokha, January 9 (MExN): Juggernauts and LCYO registered wins in their respective matches today at the ongoing T20 WCC. The first match was played between Juggernauts and Imperials. Juggernauts won the toss and decided to bat first managing to put up 152 runs losing all wickets in the 19.3 overs. Anil Sharma scored 38 runs and Lijanbemo Patton made 34 runs for Juggernauts. Shahid Islam of Imperials in 4 overs, giving away 24 runs claimed 4 wickets.
Imperials in the second innings lost to Juggernauts where they were restricted to 101 runs, all out in 17.6 overs. Arijit Das (23 runs) and Mhathung (14 runs) could not help Juggernauts to secure victory. Anil Sharma collected a wicket in 2 overs giving away 4 runs, while Mhachamo took 3 wickets in 4 overs giving away 16 runs.
Juggernauts won by 51 runs in 17.6 overs and the man of the match was claimed by Anil Sharma.
In the second match Kohima Hornbills locked horns with LCYO. Winning the toss, Kohima Hornbills decided to bat first and scored 52 runs losing all wickets in 14.5 overs.
Tapitu (18 runs) and Potozu (10 runs) were the only batsmen to score double digits for Kohima Hornbills, while Thechamo and Phyodemo of LCYO took 3 wickets each.
LCYO quickly claimed victory in just 3.5 overs losing five wickets, with Renjanthung scoring 23 runs. Vikato of Kohima Hornbills claimed a wicket in his one over giving away 12 runs.
LCYO won the match by 5 wickets in 3.5 overs and the man of the match award was handed over to Thechamo Odyuo.
