KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Tabernacle Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a leading Nagaland-based technology startup, has partnered with the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong) to host a 7-day Community Immersion Program (CIP) for seven MBA students.
This collaboration is part of IIM Shillong's initiative to provide students with practical learning experiences by blending classroom knowledge with real-world challenges, fostering leadership skills in diverse socio-economic settings. The CIP is a key component of IIM Shillong’s Post Graduate Program curriculum, offering students the opportunity to engage with businesses and communities across Northeast India.
Tabernacle Technologies, renowned for its cloud-based Church Management Software, is an ideal platform for the students to explore and address operational challenges, organizational strategy, and digital transformation. Through this initiative, students will gain hands-on experience in improving operational efficiency and driving strategic growth for tech enterprises in emerging markets.

During the program, the students will conduct field-based research to identify opportunities for process improvement, develop actionable recommendations for scalability, and participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions with the Tabernacle team.
Aravind Subramaniam, Student Program Coordinator for IIM Shillong’s CIP, highlighted the significance of the program, saying, "The CIP, launched last year, saw over 267 students from 44 groups collaborating with 39 organizations across five states in Northeast India. This year, over 700 students will participate in field visits across the region, working with local enterprises to drive positive social and economic change in alignment with the UN SDGs."
The collaboration highlights the growing synergy between academia and industry in the North-East, combining local expertise with world-class management training to address socio-economic challenges and unlock new growth opportunities.
