In commemoration of World Art Day, the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with Local Colors, organised a day long programme at Toyota Ki premises in Kisama under the global theme “A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art” on April 15.
The programme brought together artists, students, and members of the public to celebrate creativity and community through art. The event was graced by Sachin Sharma, North East Regional Head, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. as the special guest.
Sharma highlighted the significance of art in fostering social cohesion and personal growth and acknowledged the ongoing partnership between Toyota and TaFMA. He also reaffirmed Toyota’s commitment to supporting artistic and cultural initiatives in the region. Y Vikheho Swu, Managing Director of Okusa Toyota also present on the occasion
The programme was chaired by Aleno Sale while welcome address was delivered by TaFMA chairman Theja Meru. The event featured a musical performance by Nchumbemo Yanthan, and an introduction to the day’s activities was given by Among Venuh from Local Colors. Vote of thanks was proposed by Adu Keditsu, Program Coordinator.
Following the formal programme, an Art Competition was conducted with the participation of students from many educational institutes. The competition aimed to encourage young learners to explore and express their creative interpretations of the theme through visual art. The event concluded on a successful note, celebrating the spirit of creativity and collaboration.
