DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): Nagaland Foothills Road Co-ordination Committee (NFRCC) has urged the Nagaland Government particularly Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as well as Deputy Chief Ministers Y Patton and TR Zeliang to put into action the Nagaland Assembly resolution dated September 22, 2022 to take up the foothills project under NEC during the financial year 2023-24.
A press release issued by NFRCC maintained that in a democratic government, the legislative assembly is the highest platform to legislate or to pass resolution for the people of the state. Therefore the decision made in the legislative assembly is final and binding and the same cannot be washed away, it said.
While appreciating the wisdom and concern of Chief Minister Rio for passing the assembly resolution in 2022 for the interest of the Naga public at large, the NFRCC further appealed for putting the said resolution into action. Inaction will amount to betrayal of the Naga people, it added.
