The six-day exhibition, which will continue till July 18, is being organised by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (NHHDC) and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi.

A total of 40 master artisans and weavers from various districts across Nagaland are participating in the expo, showcasing an extensive range of traditional handloom fabrics and handicraft products that reflect the region's rich cultural heritage, intricate craftsmanship, and distinct tribal identities.

The primary objective of the expo is to create sustainable marketing channels by bridging the gap between rural craftsmen and contemporary buyers. The initiative aims to establish a holistic linkage connecting local talent to domestic and international export markets.

According to Deputy General Manager Project, NHHDC Ltd, the expo seeks to enhance the economic empowerment of grassroots weavers and artisans, ensuring long-term growth and resilience for Nagaland's traditional handloom and handicraft sectors.

The venue features a vibrant display of indigenous textiles and craft items, with each piece showcasing the deep-rooted cultural legacy of the state's diverse tribal communities.
