Kohima, February 18 (MExN): The Tangkhul Union Kohima (TUK) organized Luira Pranit (Seed Sowing Festival) at the premises of the Tangkhul Baptist Church, Kohima with Mmhonlumo Nikon, Advisor Information Technology, Science and Renewable Energy as the chief guest of the celebration on February 15.
The Union in a press release stated that the inaugural session was moderated by James Luiram, Vice President, TUK while welcome address was delivered by Ngathingkhui Yangya, President, TUK.
The chief guest in his address stressed on the need of unity among the Naga families and to have social interaction in the form of inviting different communities in one platform. He shared the experience of building good relationship with other communities by mingling with the friends and relatives from his in-law’s community.
In the second session, special guest Pakmi Mahongnao, renowned comedian entertained the gathering. Another special guest, Guru AS Rawung who is well versed in customs and culture of the community played musical instruments.
