Spread across an area of over 25,000 sq feet, Tata Enterprise in partnership with KLEY Enterprise opened their second Westside Store in Aramile, Dimapur adjacent to the Tanishq store.

A grand opening ceremony was held on September 14 with Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie as the chief guest along with representatives from Tata, Amol Gajghate and Biswankar in attendance. Artist and painter, Imlisunep Longkumer was the guest of honour.

Co-founder of KLEY, Yanpvuo Kikon stated that their association with Tata began in the year 2009 with intent to open a store in Dimapur. After years of perseverance, the first Westside outlet was opened in 2016 at Midland-Dhobinala Road, Dimapur, employing 45 Naga youths.

“Mr Tata himself came to see the store and expressing happiness at the progress made, he had commented on the scope for expanding business in the State,” Kikon revealed. Fast forward to eight years, the location of the second store was chosen based on available commercial land belonging to TK Angami, he said.

The first store spans 8,000 square feet while the new two-storey outlet is significantly larger, about three times more, covering 25,000 square feet and housing sections for women, men, and children. “Prices are very reasonable and the clothes are designed to suit the taste of the customers, especially here,” he added. A home and appliance section will be introduced as well in a few months.

Kikon expressed pride in opening the second outlet, crediting God’s blessings and Tata for partnering with the tribal community, thus creating jobs and uplifting the state’s economy.

In his inaugural address, CP Kevithuto Sophie congratulated KLEY Enterprises and the company behind the Westside brand. He acknowledged Westside’s established presence, stating that the brand’s unique trends and tastes align well with the preferences of the North East region.

Addressing safety concerns, the CP assured the audience that the Nagaland Police were committed to providing the necessary security not only to this new business but to all business community and citizens. He emphasized that contact details of police stations and relevant officers are displayed on billboards, and confidentially assured assistance in case of any issues. “Ensuring the security of citizens is our primary duty,” he said.

Gajghate, Regional Manager for East Region, congratulated KLEY Enterprises on behalf of Trent, the Tata Company that owns Westside.
The new store is the result of the efforts of KLEY Enterprises, a Nagaland-based venture founded by four cousins: Kezhawhetuo (Soito) Pusa, Lhouvi Mezhur Sekhose, Elivil Pusa, and Yanpvuo Kikon. The inaugural ceremony included a prayer led by Rev Vilodi Sakhrie of Town Baptist Church, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Elivil Pusa of KLEY Enterprises.
