
KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 5 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, Professor Jagdish Mukhi today conveyed greetings to the teaching fraternity on the occasion of Teachers' Day. “Please accept my sincere gratitude for shouldering the responsibility of creating the human resources and contributing to the growth of our nation,” the Governor stated in a press release issued through the Raj Bhavan.
“This date is dedicated to honour one of the greatest educationists and scholars of the nation Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This day glorifies our teachers and acknowledges their unparallel and unique role towards nurturing our students. Teachers are the pillars of our society. They are the fulcrum on which our entire future revolves. They are the building blocks of the nation,” the Governor said.
He said that tday is an occasion to pay homage and recall the monumental role played by teachers as nation builders. The Governor appealed to all the teachers to discharge their duties with a renewed sense of dedication and sincerity.
“The vision and mission of the teachers become all the more important in the backdrop of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the period of Amrit Kaal. Their role in moulding the students to take the lead in making India a Viswa Guru will be very critical during this period,” he added.
The Governor also congratulated the National Award winners and appreciated their role for the qualitative improvement of rendering education especially in view of NEP 2020.
