Dimapur, January 27 (MExN): Team Better Dimapur organised the 4th Children’s and Shelter Homes Meet at Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, Kuda B, Dimapur, on January 24.
According to the organisers, the event was attended by nine children’s homes and one shelter home, with a total participation of 143 children across different age groups.
Various activities and games were conducted during the programme, aimed at promoting physical well-being, confidence and social interaction among children from care institutions.
The organisation acknowledged the support received from donors, well-wishers, volunteers and patrons, stating that contributions in cash and kind played a key role in the smooth conduct of the event. It was informed that funds generated during the programme were utilised to sponsor and organise the activities.
Team Better Dimapur also appreciated the participation of patrons and supporters in the games organised during the event, as well as the active involvement and sportsmanlike spirit shown by the children and caregivers from the participating homes.
The organisation further lauded the efforts of volunteers and support teams for their contribution to the success of the programme and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing initiatives focused on child welfare and community engagement.
