Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): Team Paradise Garden emerged as the champions of the 4-day “Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament 2024 organised by the Tennis Ball Cricket Association of Nagaland (TBCAN) at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur, from May 9-12.
Team Paradise defeated Team E Warrior and received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. Team E Warrior won Rs 50,000 in cash as the runners-up.
Kawaljeet Singh was declared the ‘Man of the Final Match,’ while Ajit was adjudged the ‘Man of the Series.’
According to the Association, a total of sixteen teams from different parts of Dimapur and neighbouring districts participated in the tournament.
Guests and speakers at the tournament included Tokheli Kikon, a women leader and social worker; Neena Dutta, Principal of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School; Pinky Agarwal; and delegates from TBCAN, central, and North-East.
Meanwhile, the Convenor of the tournament, Kabir A Choudhary, extended gratitude to all the supporters and the administration for making the tournament grand and successful.
Various functionaries of TBCAN, including President Dr. Amos; Chairman Bishnu Bhattacharjee; Supong Konyak; Kabir A.
Choudhary, Working Presidents; K.L. Das, General Secretary; Nishant Jain, Vice President; Sheema Bhowal, Women President; and Puja Das Paul, Sports Coordinator, also addressed different programmes of the tournament.
Asad and Kamrul were assigned on the field as Ground Incharge.
