Team Samurai tops 5th Kohima Village Junior Sports Meet

Kohima, March 25 (MExN): Team Samurai emerged as the overall champions of the 5th Kohima Village Junior Sports Meet with 5 gold and 3 silver medals on March 25. 

Hosted by the Kohima Village Students Union with the support of the Kohima Village Youth Organisation, the event at D Khel Ground and Indoor Stadium, Seikhazou was held under the theme “Nurturing the Future.”

The biennial sports meet is held with the aim of grooming the next generation of sportspersons. Team Samurai secured the basketball title by defeating Team Warriors, while in football, they settled for second place despite an impressive performance against Team Gladiators.
