My Lord! Naga Nation is falling apart. The few of us who are trying hard to keep it together is just too few. The little that we could, we tried. Though history will never know us, we tried. Our names will never be known but we tried. Should i finally say our enemies have succeeded?
My Lord! Today I weep. Painstakingly we came together but even us we are getting fragmented. Is it your will that Naga family remain divided forever? On the Indian side we are in Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam then our Eastern brothers are in Myanmar. Artificial boundaries are permanent now. I am spent my Lord. The historic memorandum to Simon Commission where we asserted foreign laws can't be imposed on us and to be left alone like in the ancient time to determine our own destiny. Will that be mocked forever? Each one stubborn in our beliefs, each one not willing to listen to the other. Is that it? Lord?
The blood of our fathers who died for the cause still fresh on Naga soil. The tears of the mothers and sisters still fresh on Naga soil. The sweat of our brothers still fresh on the soil. Was the soil not fertile? Only wooden crosses to remind us of our efforts? Even those will rot in time. No one is willing to retrace their footsteps and ask where they went wrong. Some are willing to step into surrender. My Lord! I am on the verge of giving up.
A cause I held dear is drifting away right in front of my eyes. This is painful. May your will be done.
