Peren, February 24 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union Nagaland (ZLSUN) has expressed distress over the due long pending case before court relating to the Tening-Lekie Road Project under NERSDS.
The Media Cell, Zeliang Students’ Union in a press release has called upon all parties to abstain from any developmental activities during the pendency of the case before court thus, creating rooms for delay tactics and inviting multiple-litigation, hampering the Tening-Lekie Road Project under NERSDS.
It stated that the matter requires all parties to honour the Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench order dated 23.02.2022 and appealed the parties involved in the case to settle the matter at the earliest in the interest of general public.
The union said that the people of the area are waiting with high hopes to commute on a good and sustainable road, since this road was the only lifeline in the area. “The hindrance faced by way of court cases is most unfortunate and regrettable.... The people desire for speedy disposal of the case which is pending before court,” it stated.
