Tetseo Sisters: A Slice of Li Deluxe edition EP released

Abu Metha, advisor to Chief Minister today released a CD of Tetseo Sisters at a function held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma.
Speaking on the occasion, Metha congratulated Tetseo Sisters for their successful journey in the field of music.
He maintained that Tetseo Sister, through its music, is one of the best ambassadors of Nagaland to the global communities.
Metha sung sweet tune about the enormous talents of Naga youth in the field of music and felt that Nagaland must be the capital of music in this part of the world.
A Slice of Li by Tetseo Sisters is a 7 track Extended Play (EP) that was digitally released worldwide in May 2019 and is currently available on popular music platforms like iTunes, Amazon, Saavn, Gaana, Hungama and Airtel music.
The Deluxe Edition EP in CD format contains 4 bonus instrumental tracks or the Tetseo Sisters hit songs Rhosi, Hiyo, Ohe and The Tati Song.
The CD will be made available in stores and online platforms from December 1 onwards only.
The EP is the culmination of over a decade of experimentation, drawing inspiration from their travels, live shows around the country and abroad, jam sessions on the road and improvisations along the way, tried and tested on audiences around the world to finally being shared as a collection of 7 distinctive songs tied together by the underlying theme of celebrating being human and alive, never giving up and eventually winning over the odds.
The EP, produced by the celebrated/award winning Tetseo brother/Producer Mhaseve K Tetseo (MKT).
It is essentially original Naga folk melodies/stories rewritten and presented in the trademark style of the Tetseos and folk fusion with a happy twist. Contemporary fusion vibes in equal measure of fresh and familiar simultaneously, clean sounds centered on vocal harmonies with a touch of electronic elements, the quintessential guitar meets Tati and measured percussions.
The EP also features original fan art and celebrates artwork by fans, enthusiasts and artists inspired by the T'etseo Sisters, their fashion sojourns, the music and Li stories, exclusively curated for A Slice of Li and is dedicated to all Li fans.
Tetseo Sisters Hornbill Festival Box Office Show
Meanwhile, the first ever Hornbill Festival Box Office Show featuring the Tetseo Sisters will commence from December 2 at Bamboo Hall, Kisama and continue till December 10 under the aegis of Task Force for Music and Arts in association with Government of Nagaland and Nagaland Tourism.
The show will be managed by imagi.NATION.
The show will trace the journey of a folk song from the lips of a great grandmother in a pre World war era Nagaland to a millennial girl of Now Nagaland.
The Tetseo Sisters promise to take on an hour-long trip of delving into the finer nuances of the folk songs of Nagaland and exploring the stories within the stories in each song as well as celebrating the performance repertoire of the artist.
The show will flow from traditional tunes to folk fusion reflecting the contemporary age as the artist finds their own voice in an age of exposure and fusion with modern genres of music, reflecting the passage of time and how folk music of Nagaland remains relevant to the current generations in a format that retains authenticity and yet becomes relatable to modern times with the stamp of the artist.
The show will be a state of art production with programmed lighting, exciting props, audio-sound effects and set in a customized ambience. Essentially a "Made in Nagaland" production where the audience will also get a taste of the camaraderie of sitting around a fire, listening to songs and have small bites of traditional Naga snacks being passed around as they are regaled with happy and darker tales, colorful costumes, sounds and the experience of the Tetseo Sisters up close with their signature music.
Audiences can look forward to an experience worth repeating, as the show runs daily with two shows of an hour each timed for 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM for the full course of the Festival and is slated as family and children friendly entertainment that will enrich your Hornbill Experience.
Tickets will be available at the venue in different slabs ranging from Platinum at Rs. 4000 (Admit two - Front row seating, refreshments, merchandise, Meet & Greet), Rs. 2500 ( Admit one- Front row seating, refreshments, merchandise Meet & Greet) to Classic Single (Rs. 500) while entry is free for children under 7.
Nagaland residents may avail discounted tickets at Rs 200 on showing valid ID at the Bamboo Hall check point.
