DIMAPUR, JULY 14 (MExN): Tetso College celebrated its 5th undergraduate (UG) graduation ceremony on July 14 at Lorin Hall, Tetso College, Sovima.

Twin ceremonies held in the morning and evening marked the significant milestone in the academic journey of the 521 graduating students of the School of English and Political Studies& the School of Social Sciences, Business and Economics respectively.

Commencement speaker for the first session, Dr Sedevi Angami, Director of CIHSR shared principles of life from a biblical perspective, emphasizing the importance of keeping God as the foremost priority and starting each day with Him.

While many identify as Christians, Dr Sedevi emphasized the significance of being true followers of Christ in order to enhance one's mind and understanding. Drawing from personal experiences as a student, he shared the realization that merely accumulating knowledge from textbooks can lead to pride. Instead, integrate the knowledge gained with the teachings of God's word and share it with others, Dr Sedevi added.

Entrepreneurs Associates CEO, Neichute Doulo, who was the commencement speaker for the second session, addressed the august gathering virtually.

Doulo highlighted that by cultivating a curious and entrepreneurial mindset, the graduates would continue expanding their horizons and making groundbreaking discoveries in their chosen fields.

Dwelling on the importance of connection and collaboration, Doulo emphasized the significance of the relationships built during the time in college. He reminded them that diverse perspectives and collective efforts are necessary to solve the complex challenges the world faces today.

Director, Tetso College, Kvulo Lorin and Dr Hewasa L Khing, Principal also addressed the graduating students.

Valedictorians, Lenpentshu Peri, College English Topper, and Neimenuo Chadi, NU Psychology Topper, reflected upon their collective journey, shared memories, and aspirations of their fellow graduates, while expressing gratitude to the faculty, staff, and family members who supported them throughout their academic journey.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the conferral of Degree certificates to the graduates symbolizing the successful completion of their undergraduate studies and marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The Tetso College Choir enhanced the celebratory atmosphere with a soulful rendition of the college anthem.
