TGSU appeals to restore power

Tseminyu, October 27 (MExN): The Tesophenyu Group Students’ Union (TGSU) has sought the attention and action of power department, Nagaland for timely restoration of 1600 KVA transformer at the sub-distribution point in Tesophenyu village.  

“It is irresponsible and regrettable to note that the citizens of Tesophenyu group under Tseminyu sub-division and the Wozhuro Range under Wokha district have been deprived of power for the past 20 days which has caused immense hardships to the local populace,” lamented TGSU in a statement issued by its president, A.P. Francis Magh and general secretary, Michael Seb.  

In addition, the union stated, “it is always the students’ community at the receiving end for they are in the middle of preparation for appearing board exams and selection exams in progress.”  

In the light of the “compelling and pervasive situations, we as the guardian and defender of students’ welfare appeal concerned esteem authority for immediate restoration of power transformer,” the statement added.
