Wednesday, August 12 (MExN): eBook titled “The Destiny” written by senior journalist Oken Jeet Sandham was released by Nagaland Press Association (NPA), president H Chishi at the Tibet Kitchen, Kohima on August 12.

The programme was held with minimum attendance by observing all COVID-19 protocols.

Recalling his association with the author for more than two decades, Chishi said that his patience and perseverance while his wife was in the ICU for over a decade (11 years) had exhibited in many ways. He added that the book ‘The Destiny’ would surely be a God’s plan for your beautiful destiny. Chishi expressed hope that the book written on extraordinary journeys by Sandham would surely be an inspiration to people and encouraged him to write more books in the future.

Sharing his inspiration behind the book, Sandham said it was about his wife, Aneile Kenye who was discharged from Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, ICU on March 30, 2020 after staying there for more than 10 years.

“The outbreak of the Coronavirus changed the course of their life. Her discharge from hospital on March 30, 2020 brought her to the destiny to unite us. This turn of event hugely influenced me to write a book on her,” he added.

KPC Adviser Kopelo (Kops) Krome and Joint Secretary, Alem Jamir were among others who attended the book launch.
The book is available in Amazon at Rs 250 and the paperback is at Rs 300.
