‘The Gift of Chess’ prog opens for Nagaland

Kohima, February 17 (MExN): Interested schools, colleges, rehabilitation centres, and orphanage homes across Nagaland that wish to introduce Chess Education in their institutions for students and youth through organized chess coaching and training programmes have been  invited to contact Mengise Haikam, Ambassador of The Gift of Chess – Nagaland, at 7005458265 or team coordinator  8837098422.

The team will assist interested institutions in conducting chess coaching camps and will also provide chess sets to support the initiative.

The Gift of Chess is a programme initiated by a New York City, USA–based registered non-profit charitable organization dedicated to promoting education, personal development, and essential life skills through the universal language of chess worldwide.

The initiative also aligns with the vision of FIDE, which recognizes 2026 as a significant year for Chess in Education, encouraging learning, creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development through the game.
