When traced back the Nagas as same and one even before the British rule in India. One could not get historical records; but only the verbal history in the form of folk tales gave clear evidences. After the British came into India, historical records of socials, cultural and traditional etc. all were mentioned and there had been no doubt that Nagas in different political administrations and jurisdictions shared the same ethos of life. Be it in India or Myanmar-Nagas were one and will be one in the generation to come. For that matter even in India because the administration conveniences Nagas were badly divided and placed in Manipur state, Assam state, Arunachal Pradesh state. Still then Nagas felt the oneness and togetherness in all social organisations. To mention few instances after Nagaland statehood one could find the following evidences as mentioned below.
1. Nagaland state legislative Assembly two resolutions for the Nagas to integrate all its villages and land under one administrative umbrella.
2. Mass involvement of Naga community in Manipur state for change of secondary education syllabus and shifting of examination centre to NAGALAND state for adoption of NBSE COURSE in all Naga inhabited villages in Manipur state. Many young students in all private schools of Manipur Nagas were misplaced even during their career formation stage of life for the common interest of NAGAS as a whole. Many felt the pains faced by the innocent students during that period of public HSLC Examination in DIMAPUR examination centre.
3.Several agitation of economic blockages launched by the various organisations of Manipur Nagas fighting for their identity, rights and developments in the span of 10 years periods. All these protests were focused on one core issue of oneness and togetherness for a better common interest.
4.Regular and permanent organisations knitting together all NAGAS irrespective of different locations and boundaries are Naga Hoho in the elderly intellectual level, the Council of Naga Baptist churches (CNBC) and the Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) spreading in all major cities of the country India in the religion level, the Naga Students Federation(NSF) in the up=coming students level, the Naga style Wrestling meet once in every two years in the sports level, the Naga Overseas organisation putting heads together and feeding the knowledge of the global spectrum for NAGA integration. The Naga People Front (NPF) extending its wing to all NAGA inhabitant States in the political party level.
5. Lastly the recent Naga Consultative and Naga Reconciliation meet at Dimapur focused the Naga integration visualised the binding factor of oneness and togetherness.
In course of all these mentioned events and happenings many Naga civilians really gave their best efforts and sacrifice their life. Many were victimised and could not catch up other people in every possible aspects of better livings. Still then, such contributions were so meagre or unworthy to get recognition unless Nagas are united and integrated. Naga people in Nagaland state are very fortunate as we are always in bundle and no mixture of breed. But in the case of Manipur Nagas, they live with the Meites and struggle a lot for their survival and maintain its identity as Naga. Therefore one must appreciate the Nagas living in other different places and longing for our integration. Let Nagas have a positive attitude and encourage each other for a common interest, instead of cursing the darkness.
