There is a saying which say, “ With great power, comes great responsibilities.”, which I think is very applicable to all of those elite fews which hold the rein of power to themselves. Anything that happen, those people in power should, prima facie, owns up the responsibilities whether it is good or bad; for better or for worse. But it disgusted me to the point of even vomiting, when the elites shun the rein of responsibilities and owns up only to the rein of power which is something as disgusted as a rotten corpse. But I do not mean to demean the mere mortals for all the imperfections and hypocrisy that they show. The entire argument would go back to their supposedly creator ( if you believe if God).
The notion of divine omnipotent omniscient is as old as the history of mankind himself. As to the question of when, where and why god was created will always answered only in death, one thing that is quite sure is that the creator of God himself is so clever that he incorporate the basic three dogma in his God that is invisible, in audible and imperceptibles otherwise people will become skeptical when he appear to no one, speak to no one and does nothing. But one thing that must be bear in mind is the privilege of being God. The idea of the existence of God is not important as long as he doesn’t owns up to the very thing which he should and set aside the privilege that was shrouded to him since the time man created him or realized him( whatever be the case). I am not against God but I am against a god that doesn’t act or failed to act; I am against a god that condones violence; I am against a god that speak nothings against slavery; I am against an impotent god who does nothing to stop evil in this world. Recently I had a discussion with one of my friends. That fellow is a skeptics like me and he told me,” If I have the power to stop the evil in this world, to stop all the suffering that innocent children had to bear, if I can stop all the infighting in this world, I would do it right now and here. But god, despite all the powers, choose to remain silence like a donkey and will only act when you die. That is the difference between me and god. act whereas he sit silent.” What my friend told me really act as a catalyst to my belief and to my skepticism. But despite all the facts and rational, religious people will always tell me not to try to understand god with your human understanding. But what really amuse me is that if I can understand the goodness of god with my human understanding, why I can’t understand his badness with the same human understanding. And when these type of people had no answer to our questions, the only reply they could give us is that God works in a mysterious way. And indeed he does. He mysteriously allowed Elijah to create a bear out of thin air and to devour upon small children who teased him. He mysteriously created man a human and burned him (man) when he act as one. He mysteriously ordered both Moses and Joshua to committed mass genocide against the people of Canaan. The list goes on and on but yet somehow, modern preacher preach to us of a merciful, loving, gentle and patience god who always love mankind. (Christians should read their book properly). I don’t even want to comment about other gods who, ridiculously, led his followers to all kind of follies that serves only as a hindrance to the progress of society .
Taking in general the overall characters of a general deity, he possess these following traits that, if found them in our neighbor, I think he will the most hateful figure of the locality. His characters are :-
1. Vanity- He is a very vain creature that he is so upset if you don’t accept the myth that he exist, he had an eternal punishment waiting for you.
2. Irresponsibility- despite the enormous power attribute to him, he failed to act in each and every instance.
3. Sadism- this is one of the most fearsome character of god. He is ready to kick anyone whenever he want for no reason. For example, during the Exodus of Hebrews, even though the Pharaoh was ready to let go of his slaves after the fourth plaque, the sadist YHWH deliberately hardened the heart of pharaoh so that he could commit one of the worst history. Now I’m talking only about YHWH, but each and every other gods have the same trait.
4. Misogyny- This is another boastful character that he possess. Every religion are famous for their attitude toward women ranging from female infanticide to subjugating women.
5. Homophobic-another character of god is his homophobia, which I find quite interesting because, when polygamy and genocide are being celebrated as the will of god, same sex love is being demonized.
6. Anti-intellectualism- our beloved god is the most powerful opponent of intellectualism. He always wanted mankind to be ignorant because an ignorant person is the most easiest person to be controlled we are all familiar with the wonderful bedtime stories about the fall of man
There are still other characters which I left out but the point I’m trying to make is that despite all the sufferings that god have inflicted upon mankind; despite the chain of tyranny being imposed upon us by religion; despites the killing that we have committed to please our god, God, whoever his name is, always continue to enjoy that sanctify position that was scheduled to him and to him only. He is always being view as that supreme entity which we should not question but obey. It reminds me of Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin and all those evil men the world had ever seen. Despite their autocratic and brutal regimes that exceed the level of brutality, they always had their millions follower, believing them and worshiping them to their death. This is exactly what god is like- a failed entity, who does nothing to mankind to benefit us. All he could do is to terrorized people with his fearsome power, forcing everyone to accept him as their creator when he is not and take the credit for every success man. But yet, with all his failure, there will always billions of his followers waiting to give their life for his folly, waiting for the great delusion of their life, waiting to paint a grand image for him, waiting to ignore his evilness and instead sees in him a perfect entity-good and merciful. This is the privilege of being god because you can be as cruel as hell, but yet people will never blame you for anything but instead chose to adhere to you and give you the credit of being a perfect creature of which you are not even close to. How I wish I could be a God.
