Thejaselhou Yhome tops as NPSC final results declared

DIMAPUR, MAY 22 (MExN): Thejaselhou Yhome has topped the Nagaland Public Service Commission civil service examination which was declared today on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Written Examinations, Viva-voce, Medical & Physical Fitness Examinations and options exercised by the candidates. Besides Thejaselhou Yhome, fifteen others have been selected for posts of EAC (Extra Assistant Commissioner) Cl-I Gazetted-Junior Grade under P&AR Department. Out of this, five have been selected under the reservation quota for backward tribes.

For the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cl-I Gazetted, under Home Department, four candidates have been selected out of which one is from the reserved category. One of the features of this year’s NPSC results is the selection of 16 candidates for posts of BDO (Block Development Officer) Cl-I Gazetted, under Rural Development Department. Altogether, there are seventeen categories under which various posts have been sought to be filled up under various government departments.

Meanwhile, the results of BT reservation for Zeliang tribe (BDO-1 Post, SA-2 Posts, Economic Investigator- 2 Posts) is kept in abeyance for seeking further clarification from Government. The inter-se merit for the purpose of seniority shall be determined only when the result for the Zeliang tribe is declared, stated the notification issued by Sarah R. Ritse, Secretary, NPSC.
