Neposo Theluo with others during 75th anniversary celebration of TSU on December 28.

The Thipüzumi Students’ Union (TSU) celebrated its 75th anniversary under the theme ‘transcending limitation, catalyzing transformation’ at Thipüzu village under Phek district on December 28.
Neposo Thelü-o, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Rural Development, graced the occasion as guest of honour. In his address, Theluo said that 75 years is a momentous occasion and recounted contributions of pioneers and leaders of TSU over the years.
Theluo asked the students to contribute towards the transformation of the society and also told them to expand their boundaries to achieve greater things.
He exhorts the students not to bask on the past glory but to compete with others, while also recognize their limitations and focus on their strength to excel.
Further, he told the students to set their goals and focus on their target with perseverance.
Sharing greetings, Avezo Kevin Kapu, president of Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) challenged the students to have vision, be disciplined and have passion.
Thipüzumi Village Council chairman, Zhoveyi Rose told the gathering to preserve and promote the rich culture, native language and upkeep the identity of the village.
TSU president Kevezo Zango Chuzho delivered presidential address. Welcome address was delivered by Vevosayi Tetseo, Vezahü Thelü-o, first TSU president pronounced blessing (Reli Phri) for the students fraternity. Thipüzumi Baptist Youth Fellowship Kohima (TBYFK) and Diethozo Medeo presented special songs.
Earlier, Neposo Theluo unveiled 75th Anniversary monolith and also inaugurated the TSU 75th anniversary building.
Vejuyi Rose, Pastor, Thipüzumi Baptist Church (TBC) invoked God’s blessing.
