Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): With the unearthing of another fake Aadhaar generation rackets in Dimapur, the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) today asked the State Government whether thousands of fresh applicants made by using fictitious documents would be “legalized or nullified.” The CNTC, in a press note from its Media Cell alleged that, these Aadhaar cards were mostly issued to “suspected illegal immigrants from the neighbouring state.” The cards seized from these illegal racket centres should be annulled and invalidated; and all other Aadhaar cards made before in the state should also be thoroughly examined, the Council demanded. The Chief Minister and the Home Minister should do their part, as the police have been doing their part with the best of their ability, it said adding that, it need coordinated efforts come from all stakeholders. The CM and HM should also coordinate with their counterparts in Assam, “otherwise lakhs of illegal immigrants will be legalized and claim to be a citizen of India from these fake Aadhaar made in Nagaland state,” the CNTC further maintained. It also appealed all colony GBs, chairmen and respective councils to be vigilant about “activities in their localities and inform the police to take punitive action on these miscreants involved in such illegal activities.” The CNTC also lauded the Dimapur Commissionerate Special Branch (DCSB) for unearthing the fake Aadhaar card rackets.
