Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): Dimapur Police have arrested three persons in separate incidents for possession of contraband ganja.
On November 7, Dimapur Police manning Chumukedima Check Gate intercepted one vehicle (Gypsy) and recovered 160 kgs (approx) of contraband Ganja. In this connection, one person namely Aba Tetseo was arrested and a case has been registered at Chumukedima PS for further investigation.
The following day, Dimapur Police along with Special Branch Team conducted a joint operation at the Chumukedima Check gate during which one vehicle (Tata Indica) B/Regd. No. ASIT 9456 attempted to flee. After a hot chase, the vehicle was intercepted at 6th Mile, Dimapur and on checking, 90 Kgs (approx) of contraband Ganja was recovered. Accordingly the driver of the vehicle namely Lolly Kape was arrested and a case registered at Chumukedima PS for further investigation.
On November 13, Dimapur Police manning Chumukedima Check gate recovered 30 Kgs (approx) of Contraband Ganja from Lonyi Anele Mero. Accordingly, she was arrested and a case has been registered at Women PS for further investigation.
