Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection Dimapur has conducted raid at butcher stalls on March 3 at 7:30 am in Nagarjan junction area, Dimapur.
Three unequal arm weighing scale (Beam scale) were seized from three habitual offenders: Shilo Rengma and Singhlo Rengma and Neibolie Angami L.
A press note issued by C. Yabang Pongener, assistant controller, legal metrology & consumer protection informed that the offenders shall be punished as per the Standards of weights and measures Acts and Rules enforced. Moreover, the customers are advised to be cautious while purchasing commodities specially pork and fish in the market.
