Three persons who had allegedly robbed Rs 3,60,000 were apprehended by the 7th Assam Rifles at Pungro Junction, Kiphire on July 21. The three persons, identified as Sanjoy Ojha, Sikandar Ojha and Iqbal Hussain from Hojai, Assam were fleeing Dimapur after hiring a taxi from Kiphire Town . On enquiring it was ascertained that the trio visited Kiphire on the pertex of selling Ayurvedic products in and around Kiphire town. They were further found in possession of Rs. 3,60,000 which was reportedly stolen from the owner of the house in which they were staying as tenants. The trio were handed over to the Kiphire Police. A case has been registered in this connection.
