Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako organised the 3rd edition of M Chuba Meritorious Award, 2025 in Dimapur.

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) organised the 3rd edition of the M Chuba Meritorious Award, 2025, at Hotel Saramati conference hall in Dimapur. A press release received here stated that the ceremony was held to recognise and honour outstanding academic excellence.
Thurila K Yimchunger was conferred with the award which comprised cash prize of Rupees 1 lakh along with a citation and memento.
The event was graced by Richard Yimto, IPS & IGP Rtd, as the guest speaker. Yimto, in his address stressed the congregation on the importance of being consistent in one's quest citing many students fails to maintain later momentum of success due to inconsistent once elevated to higher education. He further stressed on the role of parents and to be vigilant and to act conscientious in sync with child's calibre.
The programme commenced with invocation by Apong, Pastor YBC Chumu and welcome address by Keyoungkhum, President, YAA. Tsukhumla, daughter of late M Chuba, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the significance of the award and the enduring legacy of late M Chuba. Thurila Yimchunger shared on ‘My Academic Journey Thus Far.’
A song was performed by Esther Jans, while a special prayer was offered by Rev Dr Athsan, Pastor YBC Dimapur, to honor the life of late M Chuba and seek blessings for his family members.
The programme also featured short speeches from Rithrong, PS to Minister Housing & Mechanical, GON, General Secretary Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH), and President Yimkhiung Gazetted Officers' Association (YGOA). The event concluded with benediction by Tsusola, APY YBC Diphupar 'B'.
