The 60th meet of Tizu Area Sports Association (TASA) concluded at Khuza town under Phek district on January 22.
Kutsokhuno Sports Association lifted the Captain Sashito Vero Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize of Rs 300000 along with citation. Brig Vedai Tetseo Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize Rs 150000 was bagged by Chepoketa Sports Association and semi-finalist (losing teams) Khuza Village Sports Association and Kizari Sports Association received Rs 25000 each respectively.
In women’s football, Khuza Sports Association defeated Chepoketa sports Association to lift the Lhuvetsu Chizo Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize Rs 100000 and runner-up Chepoketa Sports Association received a running cash prize Rs 26000 (TASA) respectively.
In Men’s volleyball, Tehephu Sports Association bagged the Masune Nienu Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize Rs 60000 while Khutsokhuno Sports Association received Sergeant Major Lhutsunu Chizo Memorial Trophy with a running prize Rs 20000.
In Men’s basketball, Tehephu Sports Association received a running cash prize Rs 24000(TASA) and runner-up Khuza Village Sports Association received a running cash prize of Rs 15000 (TASA).
In women’s volleyball, Kutsapo Sports Association bagged Thitsolu Khesoh Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize Rs 50000 and runner-up Kutsokhuno sports Association got a running cash prize Rs 15000 sponsored by TASA.
In Women’s basketball, Tehephu Sports Association emerged victorious and received Rs 17500 sponsored by TASA while runner-up Chepoketa sports Association lifted Yekhusayi Rhakho Memorial Trophy with a running cash prize Rs 13000.
In Naga style wrestling, Choveyi Lohe (Khuza) emerged as champion in 90 kg category while Vechito Tetseo of Khuza Dports Association and Unuto Rhakho of Kutsapo were champion and runner-up respectively under 75kg category.
Under 65 kg category, Vevo Rhakho (Khuza) and Thujoku Rhakho (Khuza) bagged champion and runner-up position respectively.
In women’s Naga wrestling, Venelu Veswu of Duthotsu Sports Association emerged champion while Luvolu Khesoh of Tehephu Sports Association stood in runner-up...
The Best Discipline team award went to Sohomi Sports Association with a cash prize of Rs.25000 sponsored by Zhopra Vero.
Kutsapo Sports Association emerged Group champion and received Rs. 40000 sponsored by Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu.
Nukusa Rhakho was adjusted as the best men’s volleyball player of the tournament while Lutuyi Vadeo won the best basketball player.
In individual category, Munguhu Dozo of Chepoketa bagged men’s individual champion while Dulu Lohe of Kutsapo won women’s individual champion.
Golden glove was bagged by Vesulu Dozo (Chepoketa). Muritalu veswu (Khuza) was awarded Golden boot. Enolu Venuh ( Khuza) was awarded Golden Ball. Munuono Rhakho (Tehephu) was adjusted the best women Basketball player. Ozo Vero (Chepoketa) was awarded The Golden ball. Ruyito Tetseo(Chepoketa) bagged golden boots while Golden glove was awarded to Vduzo of khutsokhuno.
Dekulu Sapuh of Kutsapo was adjusted the best women volleyball player of the tournament.
In closing ceremony, Chivotalu Khesoh Women coordinator TASA led the programme while Nuveto Rhakho invoked God’s blessing.
Sulu Lohe presented a special number while SASA President and Finance Secretary gave away prizes to the winners. Kudevelu Rhakho proposed vote of thanks. Chinehu Khesoh pronounced act of blessed to the newly elected teams for the next tenure 2025-2027 and Shezonu Lohe pronounced benediction.
