Tobu, January 8: The two day Tobu Village Students’ Union (TVSU) golden jubilee celebration was held under the theme ‘Triumph through determination’ and on the topic ‘Integrity through education’ on January 4 and 5. Parliamentary Secretary R.D and REPA, C.L John Konyak graced the occasion as the chief guest.
President Konyak Students Union, Mon S. Monlib Konyak was the Guest of Honour, Evangelist, Konyak Baptist Church Association, Mon Longtho Konyak graced the occasion as Jubilee dedicator and, Associate Professor, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, Akok Walling Ao was Jubilee speaker.
The chief guest termed the occasion as a memorable one and prayed that the dark days and conflict be left far behind. He said that Golden Jubilee was an occasion for all to celebrate and to feel the joy and happiness of the progress and all round development.
The Speaker of the day in his message to the congregation, talked about the need to build a bonding within the family and the society at large through Christ. Calling upon the people to abide with the Almighty, the Speaker reminded that the time has come for the people to make directions in one’s life and to seek God who is waiting to bless abundantly to those who abide with him.
Jubilee dedicator urged the gathering to learn, respect and appreciate one another as one own self, without which one cannot attain spiritual growth. Others who spoke on the occasion were Former DGP Prison and Home Guard Nagaland N. Aonochet Ao IPS (Retd.), and Advisor DUDA, Nagaland, Naiba Konyak.
Golden Jubilee Memorial Tower was dedicated by Langpho Konyak and inauguration of the Tower was done by the Chief Guest.
