CSU organizes career guidance prog in Chizami
Kohima, April 30 (MExN): The Chizami Students' Union (CSU) in collaboration with the Chizami Officers Union (COU) today organised a career guidance programme for Class 7 and above at Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Chizami in Phek district.
Students from GM Government High School, Eastern Mission High School, SHHSS and Government Middle School including college students joined the programme.
Rukewelo T Mero, Sr Superintendent of Police, (President Chizami Officers Union) talked on the importance of taking decisions at an early age. He encouraged the students that “Today is powerful. Don’t leave things for tomorrow, if you want to become somebody tomorrow, start now. You are the best architect of yourself”.
Webeide Wezah, Secretary, Village Council, Chizami also exhorted the participants.
During interactive session, the students were grouped on their field of interests that brought a productive and a more personal level of interaction with the resource persons.
The Union stated that the purpose of career guidance programme was to enhance and motivate the students with quantitative and qualitative assessment on various information, knowledge, professions, skills and values, whereby helping them prepare a roadmap to career opportunities.
Medongu Chirhah, Assistant Registrar Nagaland University (Vice-President COU) encouraged the students to be disciplined, consistent and resilient in their approaches and conduct.
The programme was chaired by CSU, Educational Secretary, Dezo Naro.
