Tohanba calls for proper coordination

Parliamentary secretary for CAWD, R. Tohanba today solicited proper coordination and support of the officials and staff of the CAWD for the successful journey of the department.

Speaking at the introductory function here at CAWD Conference hall, Tohanba said that over the years, CAWD has done a lot of commendable job though having limited staff.

He said that upgradation of the department is a necessity with the amount of upcoming works the department is facing. Tohanba opined that the division should grow to the level of a separate department in the near future. Stating that coordination among the officials and staff is important, Tohanba said that he would supervise the ongoing projects and see that it is accomplished.

Additional Chief Secretary & Commissioner, Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir said the department is fortunate to have Tohanba and hope for a fruitful and productive time together.

She stated that CAWD was created in the early 80s to take up works of the general administration. She also appraised on the need for more manpower in the department. Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by the CAWD executive engineer Er. Sungtiba Amer while junior engineer Bichamo Khuvung chaired the function.
