Officials and others during the launching of a toll-free & WhatsApp Helpline number at the District Agriculture Office, Zunheboto on June 2.
Zunheboto, June 3 (MExN): With the objective to equip farmers of Zunheboto district with technological assistance to aid them in conveying their grievances at one tap of their mobile phone, a toll-free & WhatsApp Helpline number- 6033958725 was launched at the District Agriculture Office, Zunheboto on June 2.
FOCUS appointed Progressive Lead Farmer, Kheghoto inaugurated the toll-free helpline.
In a press release, District Project Officer, Dr V Auto Yeputhomi informed that the District Management Unit is privileged to have dedicated staffs from different communities, educational and professional backgrounds. He therefore urged the farmers to utilize the platform efficiently by not only making calls, but also by sharing images and videos of their grievances, success stories and production etc., so that the equipped staffs will provide necessary technical assistance.
He further requested all the staffs to sincerely coordinate and co-operate in addressing the issues raised by the concerned farmers.
The occasion included presentations by Dr Hutoka Y Jakha, an awardee of the FOCUS supported Innovation Fund about his upcoming project while Ghonili Zhimomi (Synergy Co-Ordinator) highlighted on the formation of coffee & livestock based Farmers Producers Organization.
