Mokokchung, 8 January (MExN): Changki Kaketsüri Longjem (CKL) officially started the 6th CKL Conference-Cum-Sports Meet, at Changki village on January 6, on the theme “Esüng Emti Metalokjetba Lokti” (Towards a Self-Reliant Society.) The conference cum sports meet is scheduled to end on January 9.
Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly attended the event as the Guest of Honour and Temjenmenba Pongen, MLA & Advisor, Transport and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland as the chief host.
During the inaugural programme, Temjenmenbs Pongen addressed the gathering and warmly welcomed all esteemed guests. Basing on the theme, Sharingain Longkumer enlightened and exhorted the assembly by stating that to have a self-reliant society, we need to follow three C’s- Communication, Coordination, and Courtesy. He also stated that Unity is indispensable for building a society that is self-reliant.
The Sports meet commenced on the second day after being inaugurated by Temjenmenba Pongen. Keeping in mind that Sports are a catalyst for character building, personal growth as well as the stronghold to develop unity; and that Conferences add to the palette of expanding one’s knowledge and skills, playing a crucial role in the development of an individual, CKL believes that these four days will act as a promising pillar for every Changkian to excel and soar.
