TPO welcomes signing of ‘September Joint Accordant’

Kohima, September 19 (MExN): “Amidst confusion and despair of the Naga Public the re-affirmation ‘to work together in the spirit of love’ renewed our hope to see light at the end of the tunnel,” the Tenyimi Peoples’ Organisation (TPO) stated while welcoming the signing of ‘September Joint Accordant.’ 

The ‘September Joint Accordant’ was signed by Gen (Retired) VS Atem, Collective Leadership, NSCN (IM) and Alezo Venuh, Co-ordinator, Working Committee, NNPGs in the presence of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) on September 14, 2022. 

A press release from the TPO said that this heartening news was highlighted in the Joint meeting of the TPO Officials and the Board of Arbitrators (BOA) at Hotel Millennium, Kohima on September 17, wherein the members unanimously welcomed it. The TPO has urged upon the Naga National leaders to remain firm and true to the commitments thereby, exhibiting that collective aspiration of the Nagas remain foremost and overcome the divisive forces of adversaries with spirit of togetherness. 

“If sincere effort is given to work towards a shared Naga future on the foundation of our Historical and Political Rights, we are fully confident that with God on our side we shall reach our destination,” the TPO stated.

Appreciating the role been played by FNR, the TPO has also extended their fullest support and co-operation to the Forum. Further it appealed upon “Naga brethren to climb above our internal differences and work towards our larger goal as a people so as to achieve and find our rightful place in this god given world.”
