DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 21 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has issued a traffic advisory regarding the dismantling and reconstruction of two minor bridges located along National Highway 36 (NH-36).
The bridges, located at 160.11 km near Dellai Gate and at 160.217 km near the Police Check Post in Rilan Village, will lead to a complete block of traffic movement along the noted stretch of NH-36 until the reconstruction is completed.
As a result, alternate routes have been provided for vehicles traveling through the area. For Heavy and medium vehicles (Entry/Exit from Dimapur and Assam), vehicles should enter through the four-lane bypass route junction near Dellai Sunday Bazaar, Assam, and exit at the New Field Check Post, or vice versa.
Light vehicles should enter from the four-lane bypass route junction near Dellai Sunday Bazaar, Assam, and exit through Chotu Lengri, Bor Lengri, Lengrijan, Duncan Basti, or Notun Basti, and vice versa.
The diversion will come into effect from December 23 and remain in place until the reconstruction of the two minor bridges is completed.
In addition, in view of the festive season and to ease traffic flow, the Odd-Even system within the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jurisdiction has been relaxed and lifted with immediate effect. This relaxation will remain in place until further notice, aiming to ensure convenience for the general public.
