Kohima, May 12 (MExN): In view of the President of India’s visit to Kohima from May 14 to 15, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (T) of Kohima, Melite Kapfo, has issued the following traffic arrangements to be implemented:
1. NO PARKING in the following stretch of road from 06:00 AM onwards: -
(a) Raj Bhavan to 19 Assam Rifles Helipad via LCS building.
(b) Hotel Fira Jn. to Lower Paramedical Jn.
(C) Naga Hospital Jn. to Jn. Below Census Directorate.
2. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the town from 08:00 AM onwards till 05:30 PM.
3. Route Diversions: -
(a) All the light vehicles proceeding towards main town will be diverted from PR Hill Jn. towards Paramedical Road via Hotel Fira Jn. While the city bus or any other buses proceeding towards the main town from PR Hill Jn. will be diverted towards Ladies Mile Road.
(b) All light vehicles proceeding towards BOC area from Razhü Point will be diverted towards Naga Bazaar via Sema Baptist Church which will be one way. While the city bus or any other buses proceeding towards BOC area from Razhü Point will take the normal route without any diversion i.e. via ‘D’ Block.
(c) The route from New Market to New NST will be one way and meant for light vehicles proceeding towards the main town area
(d) All light vehicles proceeding towards PWD and Chandmari from PR Hill area are directed to take the road from Mohonkhola Jn.
The above mentioned route diversions will start from 01:20 PM on 14/05/13 and from 08:00 AM on 15/05/13.
