Traffic regulations for President visit

Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): In connection with the visit of the President of India to Kohima on March 9 and the 10th, the Traffic Police authorities of Kohima have stipulated a number of regulations for traffic movement. The regulations were received here today from Superintendent of Police of Kohima Rothihu Tetseo, today.
On March 9, no person will be allowed to park vehicles along the VVIP route from the 16th AR helipad to the Raj Bhavan via the Ao church. Defaulters’ vehicles will be towed away and towing charge will be borne by the vehicle owners.
All “up vehicles” will be diverted from the Razhii point towards Lady’s Mile road via the old NST, New Market road, and NHK junction. Therefore, Lady’s Mile road and New Market road will be one way.
All “down vehicles” will be diverted from the Fira hotel junction toward Jn. below census Directorate via paramedical, NHK junction, and Naga bazaar road. The Paramedical road and Naga bazaar road will one way for the down traffic only. The following roads joining the VVIP route will be made “no entry” during the diversion: D block junction, Midland junction, Church Road junction, PWD junction and NSF Martyrs Park junction. The mentioned diversions will be in force from 1200 hrs onward until the VVIP reaches Raj Bhavan safely, the Traffic authorities stated.
On March 10, no person will be allowed to park his vehicle along the VVIP route from Raj Bhavan to Kisama and from Kisama via Ao church to the 16th AR helipad. Vehicles of defaulters shall be towed away and towing charge will be borne by the vehicle owners.
All “up vehicles” will be diverted from Razhii point towards Lady’s Mile road via the old NST, New Market road and NHK junction. Therefore, Lady’s Mile road and New Market road will be one way.
All “down vehicles” will be diverted from Fira hotel junction toward the junction below the Census Directorate via Paramedical, NHK junction and Naga bazaar road. The paramedical road and Naga bazaar road will one way for the “down traffic” only.
 All vehicles coming out of the AG road at Mohonkhola junction will be diverted toward LFS via South Police Station junction. All vehicles coming from Mohonkhola road will be diverted toward AG road. The following roads joining the VVIP route will be made “no entry” during the diversion: ‘D’ block junction, Midland junction, Church road junction, PWD junction, NSF Martyrs Park junction and Lerie junction.
The mentioned diversions will be in force from 0730 hrs onward until the VVIP departs safely.
“All down traffic along NH-29 including light vehicles will be stop at Jakhama until VVIP departs safely,” the police said.
The public in Kohima are requested to comply with the traffic regulations and bear with the inconvenience in the interest of all.
