Traffic restrictions in Kohima on November 18 for SAYO rally

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 17 (MExN): Kohima Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of a peaceful rally organised by the Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) scheduled for November 18. 

According to the advisory, the rally will begin at 10:00 am from PHQ junction and proceed to the DC Office for the submission of a representation. To facilitate the event, traffic regulations will be enforced from 9:30 am until the procession concludes. Vehicles coming from the Agri-Forest area towards PHQ will be diverted at Fira Junction towards the Para-Medical area. 

Traffic from the Para-Medical side heading towards TCP Gate will be diverted via Nagabazaar–Pezielietsie (Tinpatti). Vehicles proceeding towards TCP Gate or Box Cutting from Pezielietsie (Tinpatti)–Nagabazaar will be diverted towards the Para-Medical area. The advisory stated that vehicle exit from Mezhür Junction and Middle Midland will not be allowed during the procession.

Vehicles exiting from Martyrs’ Park junction and PWD Junction will also not be allowed to proceed towards TCP Gate during the rally. Kohima Traffic Police requested the cooperation of the public and motorists, stating that adherence to the regulations would ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience.
