Wokha, October 12 (MExN): The PHED Wokha division organized a one day basic training on skill development for villagers on October 12 at PHED, EE Office complex, under Jal Jeevan Mission support activity.
In his keynote address, Er Imnazulu Ao, EE PHED Wokha said that the skill development workshop was organized to equip the stakeholders on various related trades so as to ensure the sustainability of water supply infrastructures, a DIPR report informed. He urged the stakeholders to take proper responsibility of operation and maintenance of the water supply infrastructures once the schemes are completed and handed over to them by the department.
During the workshop, thorough theoretical and practical sessions on the use of equipment and tools on four trades namely plumbing, masonry, welding and electrician were imparted by skilled master trainers, the DIPR report added.
The programme was chaired by Er Thungchanbemo Tungoe, JE PHED Wokha while the vote of thanks was delivered by Er Zuchanbemo Tsanglao, JE PHED Sanis.
The same programme was also conducted at Bhandari sub division headed by Er K Hukato Shohe, SDO Bhandari.
