Transforming India through strengthening PRIs
Resources persons with participants during the certification (Orientation & Assessment) program of master resource persons at SIRD Conference Hall, Kohima from February 25 to 28.
Kohima, February 28 (MExN): The National Institute of Rural Development & Panchyati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad and State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) Kohima conducted certification (Orientation & Assessment) programme of master resource persons under the “Transforming India through Strengthening PRIs by Continuous Training and E-enablement” project of Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR), New Delhi from February 25 to 28 last at SIRD Conference Hall, Kohima.
The key objectives of the programme were to improve quality of training for about 6 millions PRIs in the country. A total of 26 participants from Rural Development Department Officers, NSRLM officers, State Audit Unit, National Youth Kendra Sangathan & NGO leaders participated at the programme. The trainees who receive certificates shall become State or National Master Resource Persons.
Topics covered under this programme included -Panchayati Raj Act, GPDP, Village Council Act 1978, VDB Model Rules, Social Audit, PRIs & SHGs Convergence, Training Methodology & Facilitation Skills, Knowledge & Achievement of learning & Presentation on Thematic Areas.
The resource persons/ master assessors included Munish Jain, Training Manager, NIRDPR, Hyderabad, Purabi Nath Core Faculty, SIPRD, Assam, Dr Kedise Pucho, Senior Faculty, SIRD, Dr Phola Konyak, Principal ETC, Tuensang and Imlirenla, State Resource Person, SAU.
