A restaurant was added to the sprawling Aiko Greens – a multi-purpose venue for hosting events. Aiko Greens, open since 2013, is nestled in a sprawling 11 acres of land dotted by trees and ponds away from the hustle and bustle of the city at Joru Pukhuri, Purana Bazaar near Zion Hospital & Research Centre.

The place provides an idyllic setting for holding personal family events. Adding to the ambience of the place are three ponds with prospects for boating and other amenities for get-togethers. “The idea behind this place is to provide a comprehensive solution for events like weddings, church retreats, family get-togethers etc.,” said Medo Putsure, who manages the venue. It also leases out certain demand or purpose specific property/amenities within the venue to clients.

Medo added that a new feature has been added to the venue in the form of a tree-house restaurant. “It is basically a family restaurant which offers cuisines, mainly Indian, Pan-Asian and Continental,” he said. The restaurant – Ili-ah will open from July 16. As an introductory feature, the restaurant will offer 25 percent off on food and 10 percent on beverages, Meda informed while adding that it will open Tuesday-Sunday from 12 noon to 9:30 pm.

Enveloping a living tree, the restaurant is styled as a tree-house overlooking a pond and can seat a 100 people.

“Ili-ah is a multi-cuisine family restaurant and the latest addition to Dimapur’s emerging culinary map. The Sumi word ‘Ili-ah’ literally translates to a ‘resting place’ and true to its name… it aims to provide the right mix of food and leisure. The unique ambience coupled with a heady exploration of the culinary kind makes Ili-ah a great prospect for food lovers as well as people who love to chill in their downtime,” read a note from the manager.
