AGARTALA/Kohima, JUNE 24 (MExN): Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath held talks with Nagaland's Advisor for New and Renewable Energy, Er Picto Shohe, at the Tripura State Secretariat on June 23, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two northeastern states.
According to the State DIPR, the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange ideas on enhancing inter-state collaboration, sharing governance experiences and exploring new avenues for sustainable development.
Discussions centred on the expansion of renewable energy initiatives and welfare-oriented programmes, with the two leaders examining how greater coordination among Northeastern states could accelerate development across the region.
Nath said such interactions help strengthen ties among the states of the Northeast and create opportunities for shared growth. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in the renewable energy sector, noting that they could contribute significantly to long-term sustainability and improved quality of life for people in the region.
He further observed that regular engagement between state governments facilitates the exchange of practical experiences and effective strategies, helping to foster stronger regional partnerships and promote overall progress.
Several other officials and dignitaries were present at the meeting, promoting a collective push toward a cleaner, more self-sufficient, and prosperous North-East, added the State DIPR added.
